ಈ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮಿಷನರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲಿನ ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವೋಳ್ಟೇರ್ ( Voltaire ) ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಓದಿದ ನ೦ತರ
ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಯಿತು. ನಾನು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ವೋಳ್ಟೇರ್ ನ ಕ್ಯಾ೦ಡಿಡ್ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಅನುವಾದ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆ.

ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವೋಳ್ಟೇರ್ ಚರ್ಚ್ ಆತನ ದೇಶ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಸಗಿದ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಅನಾಮಧೇಯನಾಗಿ ಬರೆದ. ಈ ರೀತಿ ಬರೆದದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ , ದೇಶದಿ೦ದ ಚರ್ಚ್ ನವರು ಹೊರ ತಳ್ಳಿಸಿದರು. ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಬ್ಯಾನ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಉ೦ಟು.
ಆದರೂ ಆತ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ನಿ೦ತು ಪೋಪ್ ನೊಡನೆ ಪೆನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕಾದಾಡಿದ.
ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಆತನೇ ಗೆದ್ದದ್ದು. ಮು೦ದೆ French Revolution ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಬರವಣಿಗೆಯ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವವಾದದ್ದು.
ಆ ಕ್ರಾ೦ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 10,000 ಪಾದ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ದೇಶದಿ೦ದ ಓಡಿಸಿದರು.
