I have installed baraha 6.0. So all the associated fonts have been installed.

I have installed tunga and mallige fonts.

I am using IE6.0 but arabic is not enabled in that. I tried uninstalling the existing IE (after downloading the IE6.0 setup from Microsoft site) through 'Windows Components' option in control panel. Some processing happened (looked like unistalling). After that it asked me to restart the machine. I opted for restart. But the machine didn't boot again. I got the error "Error: 0x0000000a. The following file is missing:

<windows 2000 root>system32\ntoskrnl.exe

Please re-install a copy of the above file".

I couldnt get a feasible solution for this problem after searching over the web. It sounded like, I need to have Windows 2000 installation CD, which I do not have.

Finally, I handed over the machine to a technisian and he removed the harddisk and placed in another machine. Ran checkdisk (chkdsk) over the harddisk. That fixed the corrupted kernel file. I have got my machine back in working condition and it does boot properly now.

IE is not unistalled and hence not reinstalled. So, arabic support is still not enabled.

Kannada fonts still look like how it was before I did all these. I can read them with some difficulty, but they are not aligned properly.

Is there any 2000 user who has successfully changed the arabic support from disabled to enabled? and if that solved the problem of seeing the proper Kannada fonts?
