ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ನೆನಪಿಲ್ಲದ ದಿನಗಳೇ ಇಲ್ಲ
ಹೆಚ್ಚಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಕಡಿಮೆಯೇನಿಲ್ಲ.
ಮತ್ತೆ ನಾನೇ  ನಿಬ್ಬೆರಗಾಗುವೆ,
ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ನಾ ನಿನಗೆ  ಎಷ್ಟೆಂದು?

ಆದರೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮುಗುಳುನಗುವೆ
ಗುಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇರಲಿ,
ಭರವಸೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಕಳೆಯುವೆ,
ನೀನೇ ಒಂದು ಸಲ ತಿಳಿಯುವೆ ಎಂದು...
