ಮುಂಜಾವಿನ ಉದ್ಗೀತ

ಮುಂಜಾವಿನ ಉದ್ಗೀತವ ಕೇಳು!

ಈ ದಿನವ ಕಾಣು!

’ಇಂದೇ’ ಜೀವ, ಈ ಜೀವನದ ಜೀವಾಳ.

 ಅದರ ಕಿರು ಹರಿವಿನಲ್ಲೆ

ಅಡಗಿಹುದು ನಿನ್ನಿರವ ಬಗೆ-ನನಸುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ-

ಏಳಿಗೆಯ ಆನಂದವು,

ಕಾಯಕದ ವೈಭವವು,

ಬೆಡಗಿನ ಬಹುಬಿನ್ನಾಣವು;

ನಿನ್ನೆಯೆಂಬುದಲ್ತೆ ಕನಸು,

ನಾಳೆಯೆಂಬುದಲ್ತೆ ಬರಿ ನೆನಸು,

ಇಂದು ಎಯ್ದೆ ಬಾಳಿದೊಡೆ ,

ಅಹುದು ಪ್ರತಿ ನಿನ್ನೆ ಹೊಂಪುಳಿಯ ಕನಸು,

ಅಹುದು ಪ್ರತಿ ನಾಳೆ ಹಾರಯ್ಸುವ ನೆನೆಸು,

ಅಂತೆ, ಈ ದಿನವ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕಾಣು,

ಅದುವೆ ಮುಂಜಾವಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪುವ ಸಲಾಮು!

Look to this Day!

For it is Life, the very Life of Life.

In its brief Course lie all the

Varieties and Realities of your Existance:

The Bliss of Growth,

The Glory of Action,

The Splendor of Beauty;

For Yesterday is but a Dream

And Tomorrow is only a Vision;

But Today well lived makes

Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness

And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope.

Look well therefore to this Day!

Such is the Salutation of the Dawn!"
